Who we are
Before & After Sound Lab runs the Sound Lab member app and the site at soundlabtampa.com. Questions about this policy or your information go to hello@beforeandaftersoundlab.com.
What the app collects
We collect the phone number you use to sign in, and the one-time code we text you. Your membership profile includes your name, email, photo, and membership number. If you book a room, RSVP, or send a guest pass, we store that booking, the guest’s name, and the guest’s mobile number. A referral saves the person’s name and mobile number for staff. It does not send them a text. Event chat stores the messages you post. If you turn on booking alerts, we store a push token. Promotions stay off until you turn them on. Adding a pass to Apple Wallet stores the membership name and number inside the pass.
Camera, photos, and location
Staff use the camera to scan a pass at the door, and only after they tap Allow camera. A profile picture is chosen with the system photo picker. We do not ask for access to your whole photo library. When you unlock the front door, we read your location once to check that you are at 4907 N Florida Ave, Tampa. We do not store that location, and we do not track you in the background. Studio doors inside the lab do not use location.
How we use it
We use this information to sign you in, run the membership, unlock doors, take bookings, deliver guest passes, and operate event chat. Account data is stored by Supabase. Sign-in texts are sent by Telnyx. Push notifications are delivered by Expo. Card payments are taken by Stripe on the website. The app does not collect your card number. We do not sell personal information.
Event chat
Messages that include slurs or sexual content are blocked before they post. You can report a message and block a member from chat. Reports go to the club staff. You can also email hello@beforeandaftersoundlab.com. We review reports within 24 hours.
How long we keep it
We keep membership, booking, and payment records for as long as the membership is active and as long as we need them for the club’s books. Chat messages stay until you delete them by deleting your account, or until staff remove a reported message. Push tokens are removed when you delete your account or when the token stops working.
Delete your account
In the app, open Profile and tap Delete account. That removes your login, phone number, photo, and chat messages, and cancels a paid membership. Booking and payment records stay, without your photo or phone number. You can also email hello@beforeandaftersoundlab.com and ask us to delete the account.
Children
Sound Lab is a members’ club. The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
